What you’ll do as a Senior Frontend Developer at Online Payment Platform

At OPP, we build the technology that powers the next generation of e-commerce. From eBay to Ikea, millions of transactions already flow through our systems. We don’t just handle payments, we enable platforms to accept, hold, and disburse funds securely.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you’ll help us turn our frontend into a true platform, one that speeds up every product team and gives users an experience they actually enjoy. Together with design, you’ll own features from first sketches to production release. You’ll shape and scale our shared component system, make accessibility and performance the default, and document things in a way that’s actually useful.

You’ll focus on

• Building intuitive user interfaces for our payment platform and partner dashboards.

• Owning features end-to-end with design, from Figma to final release.

• Evolving our Design System (tokens, theming, accessibility, governance) and ensuring high adoption across teams.

• Building and maintaining reusable component libraries aligned with our brand guidelines, documented in Storybook.

• Improving performance, accessibility, and scalability across our applications.

• Writing clear, well-tested React and Typescript code that others can build on.

• Collaborating closely with backend and product to deliver complete, reliable solutions.

Thanks to your work, new engineers onboard faster, designers move with confidence, and we spend less time fixing and more time shipping.

Your track record tells us

• You have at least 7 years of experience as a Frontend Developer with a strong track record of building products at scale.

• You are fluent in React or Vue and comfortable working with Typescript and modern JavaScript.

• You have built or contributed to design systems before and know how to keep them alive and consistent across teams.

• You understand accessibility, performance optimization, and responsive design, and you build with them in mind.

• You are a strong communicator who aligns stakeholders and translates needs into clear technical direction.

• You know enough about backend principles (APIs, integrations, data flows) to ship complete features, even without a finished backend.

• You write accessible, maintainable front-end code with testing in mind.

• You thrive in a fast-moving product environment with frequent releases and quick iterations.

• English fluency that rivals your coding skills 😄

• For this role, we are looking for someone residing in the Netherlands.
