Job description

Why you belong in our technology team:

  • Work on mission-critical, high-impact systems enabling millions of platform users

  • You believe in high quality products and are eager to design, build and implement test automation for a wide variety of applications, systems and user journeys.

  • You thrive in an environment where everything revolves around tech. That’s why we’ve transformed an entire new location into a tech-only office, with all the tools, inspiring workspaces, and (not unimportant) the best coffee in Delft.

What you’ll do as a QA Engineer at Online Payment Platform

What started as five people, a small office, and a few nerf guns (to stay awake) has now grown into one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs. With 100+ colleagues, offices in Delft, Berlin, and London, and Worldline as a partner, we have the perfect mix: the resources of a global player with the energy of a scale-up. At OPP, we build the technology that powers the next generation of e-commerce. From eBay to Ikea, billions in transactions already flow through our systems. We don’t just handle payments—we enable platforms to accept, hold, and disburse funds securely.

As a QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our customer-facing web applications and APIs. You will:

  • Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for web applications, including KYC

  • Automate back-end (API) and front-end testing, and end-to-end workflows using tools of choice.

  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on Laravel-based back-ends and React.js front-ends.

  • Validate API functionality, error handling, and performance under various conditions.

  • Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability.

  • Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility, including accessibility and usability testing.

  • Implement security and accessiblity testing for sensitive customer-facing workflows such as payment flows and onboarding flows.

  • Track and document issues, test results, and improvements using Jira.

Your impact

  • Experience in API testing (manual and automated) using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

  • Strong understanding of REST API principles, HTTP methods, and JSON payloads.

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.

  • Knowledge of performance, cross-browser compatibility, and usability testing.

  • Familiarity with Laravel, PHP-based back-ends, and React.js front-ends.

  • - Experience integrating unit, functional, integration, and regression test suites within CI/CD pipelines

  • Basic knowledge of security testing and compliance standards.

  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
